Billing & Subscription screen
The Billing & Subscription screen shows which plan your business is on, how long is left on your free trial, and when your next payment is due. Everyone on the team can see it, but only the owner can start a subscription or change payment details.
Opening the screen
From the dashboard, open the menu and tap Billing & Subscription.
Your free trial
Every new business starts with a 14-day free trial on the Basic plan. The screen counts down the days you have left. When the trial ends without a subscription, the app locks until the owner subscribes — your data is kept, and everything comes straight back once payment goes through.
Plans
| Plan | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | £10 per month | £100 per year |
| Pro | £30 per month | £300 per year |
Paying annually costs the same as ten months, so you gettwo months free.
Basic covers up to 3 team members and manual temperature checks. Professional has no limit on team size and adds automated sensors (fridge pairing and automatic temperature readings). Your free trial runs on Basic limits, and if you ever cancel, your plan returns to Basic — a team with more than 3 members must reduce its team size before downgrading.
Subscribing
- Tap Subscribe Now.
- Choose your plan — Basic or Professional— and whether you want to pay monthly or annually. Paying annually costs the same as ten months, so you get two months free.
- You'll be taken to Stripe, our payment provider, to enter your card details. Spotless Score never sees or stores your card number.
- Finish the payment and you'll be returned to the app. Your plan updates within a few seconds.
Changing your plan
Once you're subscribed, you can move between Basic and Professional, or switch between monthly and annual billing, any time from theBilling & Subscription screen. Pick your new plan and billing frequency, then tap Change Plan. If the price differs, the difference is prorated on your next invoice — you only pay for the part of the month you actually use.
There's one rule: Professional can be cancelled or downgraded to Basic only when your team fits on Basic. Because Basic covers up to 3 team members, you must remove extra members before downgrading — the app tells you how many need to go.
Managing your subscription
Tap Manage Billing to open the Stripe billing portal. From there you can update your card, download invoices and receipts, change your billing address, or cancel.
Payment problems
If a payment fails, the screen shows a payment warning and the app keeps working while Stripe retries the charge. TapManage Billing to add a working card before access is lost.
Who can do what
Only the account owner can subscribe or manage billing. Managers and staff see the current plan and trial countdown, along with a note to contact the owner.
